Paleolithic Rock Art in Tito Bustillo Cave, Ribadesella




Hidden among the cliffs of Ribadesella, Tito Bustillo Cave is a sanctuary of Paleolithic rock art. Its walls, painted with natural pigments between 20 000 and 10 000 BC, reveal the gaze of our ancestors.
Paintings and panels
Featuring twelve main panels, eight figures stand out: six horses, a bovine and a possible bear. Access to the main panel—protected by glass—is limited to 15 visitors per session.

Ardines “Big Cave”
Outside, the Ardines “Big Cave” presents a 40 m-high natural hall, once connected to Tito Bustillo’s inner chambers.
